The Thinking Classroom Foundation's programs are designed to support teachers and their wider communities in acquiring the skills, knowledge and passion to deliver quality education to Myanmar's youth. To achieve this we offer a number of trainings and awareness raising activities, of which our main projects today are training pre-service and in-service teachers in Reading and Writing for Critical
Thinking and providing support for disadvantaged migrant school teachers in the Thai-Burma border.
Youth capacity building workshops are also provided, on a needs-basis, across the
country fostering critical thinking and active citizens in the democracy
process. TCF is an active member of the
National Network for Education Reform (NNER) which is working at policy-level
to democratically reform Myanmar’s education curriculum and policy, aiming to
ensure that civil society are actively participating in education reform.
