Dr. Thein Lwin of Thinking Classroom Foundation has visited Kachin State in northern Myanmar during 13-19 January 2020 and organised following meetings and workshops.
1. Curriculum workshop with teachers and educators from 32 Church based schools in Kachin State
2. Workshop on Active Learning and Critical Thinking with 16 secondary school teachers of Church based schools
3. Discussion about Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking with 86 newly recruited teachers for Church based schools in Kachin State
4. Presentation on Indigenous Rights to Education, Education for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG-4) and Abidjan Principles with teachers, educators and parents in Waimaw, Kachin State
5. Meeting with the leaders of Myitkyina University Teacher Association, Myitkyina University Student Union and Myitkyina Technical College Student Union for critical thinking in higher education workshops
6. Meeting with three Shan educators living in Kachin State and discussed about teacher education for Shan teachers working at Shan monastery based schools
